I have to say that besides Shakespeare I enjoyed pretty much everything I was made to read. Even more so when we got to pick our own reading material. But than it wasn't forced, so I won't be listing those. Also, I don't really remember what I had to read in grade school(my memory doesn't go that far back), so this is pretty much based off of my five years of high school(yes, we use to have to do five years of high school).
5. The Chrysalids
I'm not sure if this would qualified as dystopian. If I remember correctly it was more sci-fi. Anyhow, don't remember the writing but I do remember really loving the story. There was shapes and powers and mind talking or something.
4. Dracula
Way before Edward I meet a real vampire. Unfortunately don't remember a lot of the story. But I remember getting this and reading it within a few days. Which was weeks weeks before the rest of the class.
3. Of Mice and Men
Poor Lenny. If the term was around back in my high school days, I would say this caused a big case of the feels.
2. Crabbe
I recently decided I wanted to reread this. This was a really epic survival story. Alone in the wild. I believe he broke his leg or something too.
1. To Kill A Mockingbird
The one book I was made twice throughout my school career. Good thing I loved it. With Go Set A Watchman being released it has made me really want to reread it.
