Feyre survived Amarantha's clutches to return to the Spring Court--but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can't forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin's people.

Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms--and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future--and the future of a world cleaved in two.

With more than a million copies sold of her beloved Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas's masterful storytelling brings this second book in her seductive and action-packed series to new heights.

I don't know if my emotions and feelings have done so many 180s well reading a book. Ever. I spent a good half of this book enraged at Maas and her inability to stick with a romance. Which really prevented me from thoroughly immersing myself in the story. Then comes the second half where I am confused and torn over my love of the original ship but am falling in love with the new(and ultimate) ship. And thus starting to hate on Tamlin for his treatment of Feyre, whether intentional or not. And GOD, all I'm thinking is am I allowed to love this book? I AM A WALKING CONTRADICTION!

My emotional journey

I am so mad at Maas for making me hate Tamlin. I was of the set mind that Feryre didn't try hard enough to get Tamlin to listen. I felt like she needed to give him that ultimatum of you are losing me. I felt like she "ran" off well there was still a little bit to go before that breaking point. BUT also this story is amazing and I do hate Tamlin. I pity him and his stupid failings and his stupid spitefulness. Tamlin just didn't get it. He was smothering her.

Rhys, you broke my heart. His tale is one of ultimate hardship. Which made me love Rhys for everything he is. For everything he has done for his people. For him being everything Feyre needed him to be as she found herself and learned to become this new person. Tamlin would never be able to see Feyre as an equal; let her be her own person. God, not only was it this bond forming between Rhys and Feyre, but it was the tension and banter and the way they were bringing each other happiness in a dark time. And the sex, wow. Yea, the hot moments from ACOTAR pale in comparison to Rhys.

Feyre is a wonder. Maas put her through the fucking ringer. The way she climbed out of her darkness and becomes so so strong and illuminating is bloody breathtaking. Seriously. Where Celaena turned into Aelin and became someone to despise because of a terrible attitude. Feyre just got better and more amazing.

Going to the Night Court was even better than imagined. The imagery being painted of the land was stunning. The best part? Meeting Rhys's inner circle. The familiar bond is so much fun and intimate. I love how they bring Feyre in, make her one of their own, show her much needed compassion all because The High Lord trusts her. And secretly needs her there.
ACOMAF is ultimately an epic tale. Betrayal, friendship, love, revenge, scheming, adventure, romance; it all is weaved together magically. I'll admit that under my excitement and need for ACOMAF I was scared. QoS has really left a lingering resentment and well that was creeping into my ACOMAF feels.

THAT ENDING! Those last 30 pages! Holy shit! I can't even. What the hell is life? The third book is going to be a shit storm and I CAN'T FUCKING WAIT.

Me=the worm. Apple=book. Sword=Sarah J Maas

And here we are at the end where I'm fully in love with everything to do with this book. Yes, I may still harbour some rage at Maas for seeming to have a signature romantic move. But hell, RHYS AND FEYRE ARE GOLD TOGETHER. ACOTAR was everything but there is no doubt that ACOMAF is a hell of a lot more. Once my frustration had cooled and Rhys got into my blood I was done for.

Happy reading!
