Haulin' the Books #103

Friends, it has been too long. In fact, I'm assuming at least six weeks since I've posted a book haul. You can probably guess that there's been thousands of books piling up in that time. You wouldn't be wrong. Whatever. The book bloggers job is to acquire as many books as possible, right? If a job means spending all your money on books and not getting paid in return. That's straight from Webster's. #truestory
Outside of books, which I very rarely venture far from, I am still unemployed and you can imagine that I am stressed to the max. I'll spare all the details, but why can't bills pay themselves without my money? What is this life? Also, 2016 is the year of babies. Not from, thank God. #childrenarescary A lot of my friends are producing these little beings. And hey, I'll even be related to one, as my little brother is going to be a dad. #horrifying #illbethecoolestaunt
In other news, I apparently only talk in hashtags. #sendhelp

The good news? All these pretties I've read. Let's just take a minute to drool over The Raven King. I want that print on my wall. Wanderlost, Summer of Sloane, The Way Back to You are all great contemps to add to your summer reading. Highly recommend. All In is the third book in an amazing and truly underrated series. Think Criminal Minds for YA. Read that series, you will not regret it. I grabbed a second/different edition of The Last Letter From Your Lover because of reasons. But also because it's my second favourite of Moyes books. Always With Love is the fourth book by Fletcher, whom easily become a new favourite author of mine when I discovered her last year.

My Lady JaneThe Problem With ForeverStarsThe Unexpected EverythingLady Midnight
Yes, I've had a JLA book for over a month and haven't read it. #dontwanttotalkaboutit  I have started both My Lady Jane and The Unexpected Everything. I had to put MLJ down because review books took over, but was loving the small bit I read. TUE I was not feeling. I'll eventually get back to it. At the beginning of the year, I decided I wanted to acquire and read a whole bunch of Peter Pan retellings. So I can then do a few weeks or month here on the blog dedicated to them. Stars fits that want. Oh, Lady Midnight. I pre-ordered it late last year and as the release date got closer I stopped caring. At this point, I really have no desire to pick it up. Even becoming pure trash for the Mortal Instruments show isn't helping.

Samantha went to a Cassandra Clare signing and because she's amazing, she got my favourite book of Clare's signed. Well, Samantha bought the new pretty new edition and got that signed for me. So now I have two copies of one of my favourite books/series enders. Also, because Samantha spoils me, she sent me some HP goodies and a bookmark. <3 <3 <3

What books have you guys been picking up lately?

Happy reading!
